Spring comes on the World –
I sight the Aprils –
Hueless to me until thou come
As, till the Bee
Blossoms stand negative,
Touched to Conditions
By a Hum.
Emily Dickinson
People, get ready, spring is already coming! This is a real festival of new growth. Decorate your home with spring flowers and sprouting greens! Wear green clothing as an affirmation of new growth within yourself! Bless any seed you plan to plant in your garden!
Begin a new project, it’s up to you. No doubt, there is no day greeted with greater joy and anticipation than the first day of spring especially after a cold winter! Even sometimes the only that gets us through February is the knowing that better days are on the way. As a rule spring starts on the vernal equinox – the day when the number of hours of daylight is equal to the number of hours of night. Spring means coming back of the earth to life after a long cold winter as the nature secretly slips from beneath winter’s heavy blanket of snow and the first flowers begin to bloom and the honey bee workers find the very first flowers in order to collect pollen and the birds sing songs in the vivid sky and the day light helps alleviative some of the depression that winter brings. It is a positive time of growth, it is time of connection to Nature and Nature spirits, and it is the season of rejuvenation and welcoming new life. From ancient times, peoples the world over celebrated the coming of spring with rituals and celebrations to ensure fertility and growth. The power of spring and its regenerative effects are evidenced by the fact that every major religion includes a major holiday in the spring season. Accordingly for the Armenians on of the major religious feast is Easter, the main symbol of which is the Egg, that is also the symbol of fruitful life, salvation and joy. With the coming of spring loneliness and desperation both come to an end. Your life might not be going good but spring helps you to overcome any obstacle, your thoughts turn to a romance. Besides, spring is a time of outdoor and indoor tourism, like fishing, hiking, riding and etc. Though Yerevan is not the very place which reflects the coming of the spring, the tourists have a great opportunity to visit the Armenian regions where you can feel the presence of the spring in every leaf of the tree, in every colour of the flower and especially in the freshness of the air. May spring bring pleasure and wonder into your life!
