Yerevan, as an ancient cultural and historical city attractive for tourism, has great potential to offer various competitive tourism products and high-quality services to international tourism market. The department of Development and Investment Programs of Yerevan Municipality is developing a new framework of offers and projects on improving the appropriate institutional and investment environment. Highlighting the role of Yerevan as a tourism development center of RA, great attention is paid to the necessity of making the city accessible and perceptible as a brand in the world.
Therefore a series of measures directed to developing the city have been initiated. Yerevan Municipality has developed a “Yerevan City Tour” touristic program. For this purpose, two double-deck red buses have already been acquired. “Yerevan City Tour” will start on the eve of 20th anniversary of the independence of RA. Through the multi-language system (Armenian, Russian, English, German, French and Farsi) during the tour visitors can listen to the interesting explanations and comments about history, culture, architecture, nature of Yerevan, and its beauty values in general. “Yerevan City Tour” consists of 8 stops (for example Stop-station Circus, Erebuni, Haghtanak, etc). Moreover, the tickets will be valid for 4 hours that is the passengers will have the opportunity to stay longer in the station and to continue the route by the next bus.
