The Bridge of Sulukh

The Bridge Sulukha was built in 867 on theriver Aratsani, on the road Mush-Khnus, near the village Sulukh (now in Turkey). The 190-meter-long bridge is built on 12 arches.
On May 27, 1907, the hero of the Armenian national liberation movement Gevorg Chaush was wounded during an unequal battle near the bridge Sulukha and died. Gevorg Cavush buried in Mush< /span>. But the Turkish leadership did not like this and in 1996 the bridge was blown up. During the explosion, three arches of the bridge completely collapsed and the bridge became impassable. The Armenian community of Musha immediately responded to this crime. Led by Armen Galstyan, the Armenians of Musha wrote to the Council of Europe several times, and finally, in 2009, the three arches of the bridge were restored.
