10-ого мая 2019-ого года, в сердце столицы Армении, для жителей страны и их гостей открылась новая уникальная достопримечательность – «Парк 2800-летия Еревана». Это красивое, уютное место для отдыха. Строительством парка занимался благотворительный фонд «Семья Варданян» – это подарок Еревану на его 2800-летие. На его постройку в целом ушло 2 года, и было потрачено более чем 5 млн долларов США. Территория парка почти 2000 кв. метра. Он расположен между улицами Бейрута и Италии, недалеко от Площади Республики, Английского парка, Дом Москвы.
Вход в парк сторожат бронзовые статуи льва и быка, сделанные в стиле Урарту. За ними длится длинная зеленая аллея, с удобными скамейками. Вдоль нее, специально из Нидерландов были завезены и посажены более 2500 деревьев. Таким способом была удвоена зеленая часть бывшей территории.
В центральной части парка есть большой фонтан, в сердце которого, из розового кварцита, сделана карта города. На всей территории променада из гранита выслана плитка. В целом она похожа на отрывок из старого армянского ковра. Всеми любимая часть – это фонтан в виде арки, под ним можно бегать, стараясь не промокнуть. Летом можно увидеть полуголых деток, играющие под аркой.
Семя Варданянов взяла на себя все обязательства по уходу за парком в ближайшие 99 лет, но с одним единственным условием, что «Парк 2800-летия Еревана» будет собственностью мэрии, и любая деятельность на его территории будет запрещена.
