Overview

Bagaberd Restaurant in Jermukis located in the center of the most beautiful landscape. It is surrounded by dense forests, and through it there is a path leading to the Jermuk waterfall, which is otherwise called “Mermaid’s Hair”.
Deliciously prepared local dishes make this place more attractive to tourists. In Baghaberd you can enjoy not only Armenian cuisine, but also dishes from Georgian, Russian and Persian cuisine. The restaurant consists of the main building, a summer cafe, and there are also comfortable open pavilions with barbecue facilities.
The name of the object is associated with the history of the Armenian people. Baghaberd was an important strategic point and the capital of the Syunik kingdom. It was completely destroyed and plundered by the Seljuk Turks in 1170, only a few fragments of the walls survived and have reached us. The word Berd means fortress, castle. Externally, the restaurant looks like a fortress with high towers.
