Jermuk Olympia Sanatorium

We recently returned from the beautiful city of Jermuk, and while the memories are still fresh, I would like to share them with everyone. Well, first things first. On the road to Jermuk, stunning views of the valley, various mountains, gorges, mountain rivers open up; in general, the nature in Armenia is cool. Without having time to enjoy these views, we arrived in Jermuk. We rested in the Olympia sanatorium. I chose this sanatorium based on reviews on various sites and, as it turned out later, the choice was excellent and the Olympia sanatorium can rightfully be considered the best in Jermuk. Upon arrival, we were met at the reception by a nice girl, Armine, who gave us a nice two-room suite, just as we ordered. The next day we went to our attending physician, Christina, who prescribed us examinations and, based on their results, a set of various procedures was prescribed, taking into account contraindications, so I can say that Christina the doctor is very attentive and professional. The child had about 5-6 procedures a day, we (adults) had about 7-9. The procedures have a general strengthening effect, but there are also those that are aimed directly at problem areas. My main problem was headaches and pain essentially all over my back. I would like to dwell on this in a little more detail. I was prescribed injections in the back and knees, which improved blood circulation in the tissues; this is not something we can find here, and no one does such things in Jermuk, except in Olympia. They were performed on me with great success by another doctor, Tamara, a very kind and sympathetic person, for which I express special gratitude to her. A therapeutic massage was also prescribed, the performer of this procedure was masseur Ashot. I went to him for a massage once, having long-standing back problems, I have a lot of experience going to various massage therapists and have something to compare with. So, I didn’t like the massage at all, it’s impossible to perform a high-quality back massage in 15, at most 20 minutes, I can also say that Ashot does not have the necessary knowledge of treatment. My son, when he had a massage, he said that his back was good, but it was not. Having read various reviews in advance, I knew that in Jermuk there was a great massage specialist - Hakob Hakobyan, who also worked in Olympia sometime before 2014. The next day we went to look for him, because approximate coordinates had been left. In principle, we found it quickly - from the Olympia hotel you need to turn left, walk about 5 minutes to the intersection with a left turn sign, where the Anush hotel is located, accordingly turn left towards it, walk 50 meters opposite the hotel there will be VTB Bank (where, by the way, I advise you to exchange rubles for drama, because the rate was better than in Yerevan) and to the left of the bank there is a door, where Hakob receives. I can say that Akop is a man from God, what he did was not done to me by either the vaunted Moscow specialists or the best massage therapists in the Moscow region. He looked at my MRI results (I took them with me to Armenia) and began to help me, and gradually, with each massage session I felt better and better, the headaches and back pain began to go away, the general massage session lasted about 1.5 hours! !! This was not the case anywhere, Akop did a massage from head to toe, massaging every bone)) also looking at my son’s back, he said that he had a curvature and showed it to me (let me remind you that Ashot said that my son has a good back, which once again says about his unprofessionalism, also after I stopped going to see him, he stopped greeting me - this, in my opinion, is too much and a question about the ethics of the employee) and Akop also gave his son and wife massages throughout our entire vacation. Absolutely everyone has improved, my son’s back has straightened, my wife’s pain has gone away, and my back has gone away. Even when we came from the mountain, where we were caught in the wind, with severe pain, after a massage, these pains went away and our mood improved. Prices are similar to those in the Olympia sanatorium. Therefore, I exclusively recommend that everyone who travels to Jermuk and needs a high-quality and professional massage get it from Hakob. He also showed me special exercises for the neck, which I now need to do daily, and gave me lifestyle recommendations to consolidate the effect of the massage, which is also not often seen. Well, that's all about the procedures)) Now about the hotel itself. I want to say that the entire staff is great, everyone is kind and smiling, it makes no difference to them whether you are from Armenia or Russia, the procedures were done in a high-class and precise manner, the girls at the reception were absolutely always ready to solve any of our problems with a smile. They clean the rooms perfectly, the hotel itself is impeccably clean, they vacuum the carpets several times a day, wipe the windows on all sides, wipe the leaves of the flowers, in general I have not seen this anywhere)) the food is good, a little monotonous, but still there is a buffet and there is always There is so much to choose from, everything is very tasty and healthy, special thanks to the chef. The hotel is located very well, the gallery with mineral water is no more than a 5-minute walk in a straight line, the freshest, intoxicating air, spruce and pine trees all around, a beautiful waterfall, unrealistic views from the mountains
