Overview

In the northeast of Sevan, between the Miapor and Areguni mountain ranges, there is a small cozy corner – the Getik Valley, where the river of the same name passes. Like throughout Armenia, you can also find numerous attractions in the Getik Valley. And the picturesque nature with its forests, streams and springs, valleys and mountains is simply mesmerizing. Thanks to the efforts of several local villagers, Getik has become a developing center for rural tourism.

This is one of those rare places in Armenia where you can take part in preparing local dishes with local villagers, learn traditional Armenian crafts, go on a hike or horseback riding tour, and take part in festive ritual ceremonies. Our program also includes spending a night in the Getika guest house, but you can spend a longer time there if you wish.
