Trinity Winery was founded by three friends: Hovakim Saghatelyan, Vahe Balulyan, Andranik Grigoryan, in the village of Agavnadzor Vayots Dzor region. Hovakim, who is the executive director of the plant, says that in 2009 they visited French vineyards and wineries. They collaborated with Jean Luc Isnard from the Ventoux region and when they told him that they did not know what name to give their winery, he said: “Well, there are three of you, like the three musketeers, give the name “Trinity” (Trinity). the name remains,” says Hovakim.

In 2010, at The Club, the famous sommelier (wine connoisseur) Serge Ghukasyan was asked by three friends to try the first wine they produced. The wine was produced in 1-2 barrels just for them, and was more experimental. At the same time, a bucket was prepared (during the tasting, a bucket is served so that the sommelier will spit if the wine is bad). He said to remove the bucket. This meant that he would drink wine. “It was a good assessment that inspired us,” says the winemaker. Today the company produces several wines: 6100 Red Wild, 6100 Areni Pink, Crossroads (all three are made from Areni grape variety) andTrinity. And the wine, made in 2010 under the name “Trinity Ventoux”, was created from French grape varieties.

The quality of wine 70-80% depends on the grapes, the rest depends on the technologist. Unlike other fruits, grapes contain all sorts of flavors. Hovakim says that grapes are the queen of fruits, which is why Armenians painted them on temples. The company is planning to apply for organic viticulture certification.
