Mount Gutanasar is located in the central part of the Kotayk region and is part of the Geghama ridge.

Gegham Mountain is a mountain range of volcanic origin in the central part of the Republic of Armenia, on the border of the Kotayk, Gegharkunik and Ararat regions. The length of the mountain range is about 70 km. The mountain range has several peaks, the highest of which is Azhdahak, height 3597 m. The mountain range has several small mountain lakes, including crater lakes.

Gutanasar is located approximately 3 km south of the village of Fantan and 4 km northeast of the village of Jraber. The peak height is 2299.6 m and the relative height is about 300 meters.

This extinct volcanic mountain contains reserves of perlite and pumice. From the top there is a unique view of the surrounding peaks and nearby meadows, which are rich in various flowers and herbs.
