Ani Plaza Hotel Yerevan

I stayed at the Ani Plaza Hotel from August 24 to 31, 2013 while attending a scientific conference in Yerevan. Despite the fact that the daily fee is a little expensive for Yerevan, I don’t regret it at all, because the hotel is clean and safe, and the location – central. The staff is very kind and helpful, from the reception staff to the girls who serve the rooms and the doormen... I especially liked the morning breakfast: a huge variety of high quality local dishes, including matsoni, tons of delicious fruit, excellent juices and so on and so forth. The Wi-Fi connection was good, but the TV only showed 2-3 local channels and uninteresting Russian ones (I couldn’t watch BBC, CNN, etc.). I did not use any amenities, such as the spa, swimming pool, hairdresser, currency exchange, but someone might find them useful. The administration quickly and efficiently dealt with all my requests. If they have something to work on, it is the hotel management's hard-to-change habit of smoking in public places, especially in the lobby. Both hotel bars are always full of smokers. This made walking through the lobby unpleasant. Overall I recommend this hotel.

We spent 3 nights here and I can highly recommend this hotel. Yerevan is not a very noisy city, but the hotel is very close to the center of action. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room is clean and the breakfast is varied. If you want to rent a car (like us), you can reserve a car park directly at the hotel (if there is space) or across the road (the lights are always on and the guards are attentive). There is a supermarket just around the corner; There are many shops, cafes and restaurants very close by. I really had a wonderful holiday there and highly recommend this hotel. If I come to Armenia again, I will stay at this hotel again.
