Trip to Armenia of a group of 4
We were touring in Armenia from 5 to12 October 2016 in a group of four people (2 from Moscow and 2 from Israel). We found the tour agency on the Internet and immediately liked it for the well-organized site of Barev Armenia. We chose the first-rated “A classic tour of Armenia” as a basis for our trip. We just asked to make some changes in the route and add some more places to visit, which all were accepted by the tour agency right away. Instead of travelling to Tatev, Goris, Tsaghkadzor (we were all 65+) we visited Sardarapat and North of the country, namely Odzun, Haghpat and Sanahin. The trip to Armenia left unforgettable memories, even though many of us had already been in the country before. We had a great summer weather and gold autumn. The impressive monuments of the thousands years old history of the Armenian people under the shade of the unique nature of the country. Everything was great. But we want to highlight what surpassed all our expectations – region of Dilijan, Lori sites, Areni with the Birds Cave, Noravank, Echmiatsin, Sardarapat Complex and amazing museums in Yerevan – The History Museum, Matenadaran, Armenian Genocide museum and Parajanov museum. A couple of words about tour organization – everything was above the highest level. The transportation was a new minivan for 6 with an excellent professional driver Mihran, who could skillfully drive on the rough roads of Armenia (serpent roads in the counrtyside, traffic jams in Yerevan, bad road covers in some places). The meals: the selection of restaurants earns the maximum scores from us, because we had them all – fresh foods, varied dishes. The village restaurants in Garni, Areni, Haghpat and Sevan deserve a separate mentioning – just fantastic. The hotels were also very good – in accordance with their rate, clean, friendly staff, and great breakfast. I would like to pay a special attention to the guest house "Kazanova" in Dilijan. The excursions were all well organized! Everything was really impressive. We were especially impressed by the level of museum collections and tour guides. The high level and professionalism of tour guides in the History museum of Armenia and Genocide museum are worth a separate note. And, last but not least, our most important and impressive guide – Ruben, who was not only a professional and educated personality (scientist- archeologist), but a great organizer. A person who knows his job well! Overall, Ruben and Mihran made our trip memorable. Thanks to them and Barev Armenia.

Your first-hand experiences really help other travelers. Thanks!
