Археологический памятник Верин Навер расположен в 5 км к западу от Аштарака, у подножия горы Арагац. На этой территории было зафиксировано около 500 гробниц бронзового и железного века (около 100 гектаров).
Гробницы окружены каменными кромлехами, и в каждой могиле в основном было сделано одно отдельное захоронение.
В гробницах были обнаружены различные ритуальные сосуды, такие как кувшины, миски, караси, бронзовое оружие, ювелирные изделия и инструменты, а также бусы, стрелы и инструменты из различных материалов. Помимо вышеупомянутой, человеческие захоронения сопровождались и человеческими жертвами, а также костями различных домашних и диких животных (крупного рогатого скота, овец, лошадей, коз, оленей, верблюдов, кабанов и т. д.) и различных птиц.
Инвентарь, который был найден в гробнице, имеет свои параллели с другими памятниками к тому же периоду в Армении, в бассейне озера Севан, особенно в предметах, найденных в Лчашене.
В этих богатых гробницах, вероятно, были кремированы и похоронены жрецы, которые занимали высокое социальное положение.
