King Antiochus of the Yervandids, a subordinate of Tigranes the Great, had the same dream as his maternal ancestor Alexander the Great – to unite Western and Eastern peoples and cultures. Within the framework of the small kingdom of Commagene, he managed to fulfill this dream and immortalize himself next to Aramazd, Anahit and Vahagn.

Departure from Yerevan. Passing through the Bavra checkpoint, we enter Javakhk, from where, crossing the Turkish-Georgian border, we head to Kars. Our next stop is the wonderful Ani. We will have a wonderful tour in the city of a thousand and one churches. Overnight will be in the city of Kars.

After the discovery of Kars and Ani, our path goes to Karin. We will pass through Sarigamish, famous for many stories, and stop on the Araks coast, near the medieval Shepherd's Bridge. After Basen we will enter Erzurum. Then we will drive through the Derzan region, where the Aparank monastery and fantastic khachkars, about 6 meters high, have been preserved. After the Aparank monastery we will go to Yerznka, and on the way we will have a pleasant stop at the Yerznka waterfall, which is also called a multi-story waterfall. Overnight in Erznka.

A trip to Ani Kamakh, where, according to historians, the Armenian kings were buried. Ani Kamakh was one of the most important centers of the pagan period. After Ani Kamakh we will go to Dersim, famous for its high mountains and clear rivers. After Dersim our stop is in Kharberd. Here we will see the impressive Kharberd fortress, then the ruins of the Armenian church and the old town, after which we will spend the evening and night in Kharberd.

From Kharberd we will go to Malatya, which is famous for its apricots. From here we will go to the sanctuary of the ancient gods - the mysterious and impressive Nemrut. This masterpiece, created by our ancestors two millennia ago, can be considered the eighth wonder of the world. After Nemrut our path goes to Diyarbeakir, but along the way we will have a short stop on the banks of the Euphrates River. Overnight and dinner in Diyarbakir.

In the morning we will begin to discover Diyarbakir with its rich historical layers. We will see the legendary walls of the city, then the Tigris River and the historical bridge. Then, passing through Agdzniki, we will reach the supposed capital - Tigranakert, built by Tigran the Great. Then we will drive through the northern regions of the Sasun region. Next comes the mountain town of Bitlis (Bagesh), where we should see the impregnable Bitlian fortress, as well as the giant Armenian khachkars from the village of Po, which are simply stunning. Night in Datvan, on the shore of Lake Van.

The first stop on the last day of our trip was Berkeley Falls. Having passed Tondrak, Masis is ahead of us on the “other” side. Our next stop is Daroink Fortress (Bayazed). Soon our road will pass through Igdir, and soon we will see the Republic of Armenia from the other side, at arm's length. Soon, crossing the Turkish-Georgian border, we will find ourselves in Akhaltsikhe, after which we only have to cross the Georgian-Armenian border, and we are already in Armenia. We will arrive in Yerevan in a few hours.
