In search of the Golden Fleece: quest game in the Armenian mountains

Overview

We bring to your attention the scenario of a corporate team quest game in the mountains of Armenia on SUVs “In Search of the Golden Fleece“. The program was developed and implemented by Barev Armenia.

Before leaving the hotel in Yerevan on SUVs, the group is divided into X teams, in each car there will be one team of three people. The first stop will be in the village of Buzhakan, near the basilica of the 7th century, where there will be a qualifying round. Here we will shoot at targets with airsoft guns, this is an electro-pneumatic gun that shoots small rubber balls, silently and without recoil. In one approach, one team of three people simultaneously shoots, each at a different target. Each participant makes 10 single shots.

According to the results of the shooting, based on the points scored, each group will receive a QR code, by scanning which you can find the place on the map where the main clue is hidden. Depending on the points scored, teams leave with a time interval of 5 minutes. The clues are hidden along the mountain road in the forests of Buzhakan. The hint is the name of the final destination. Each team only needs to find one letter and have the whole team take a picture with it as proof that the letter has been found.

After finding a point on the map, the crew immediately goes to the destination (to the medieval monastery of Nehuts). There they will be waited by a shepherd-wise man who lost his precious sheep. You need to help the shepherd find the good. He will give a hint, guessing which, you can find wisdom and a sheep. The one who finds it first, that group will be the winner of our game.

All the efforts of the teams and the adrenaline from the adventure will be completed with a chic lunch from the chef in the village of Tsaghkunk. For lunch there will be a whole lamb cooked in a tandoor.

As is usually the case in such complex projects, there were some contingencies and unplanned situations. But to our delight, our partners managed to turn even unsuccessful and unpleasant moments into successful and pleasant ones. The goals set for the company, the organizer in Armenia, were generally achieved, although the results differed sharply from those expected - we wanted to have a fun and unusual weekend, but it turned out to be an exciting, interesting, heartfelt trip from which we did not want to return.
