Overview

May in Armenia is one of the most beautiful months, when nature awakens, and everything around blooms and smells delightful. Many significant events in which our people have triumphed have occurred in this month, so May in Armenia is often referred to as the month of victories. In addition to the traditionally celebrated major holidays, Victory Day and Labor Day during the independence period, new holidays have been added, including Erkrapah Day on May 8th and Republic Day on May 28th, dedicated to the proclamation of the first Republic of Armenia.

May is a wonderful time to visit Armenia, allowing the combination of participation in official celebrations with guided tours. The road conditions and the beauty of nature are favorable for hiking as well. The proposed tourist package is a combination of one-day guided tours departing from Yerevan and free evenings in Yerevan for cultural and entertainment activities. This program is both an excursion and a gastronomic experience, as each day includes a refined lunch with tastings of various Armenian dishes.

During the tours, we will visit the most famous and beloved tourist destinations in Armenia, as well as places associated with the celebration of May holidays. In recent years, the Yerewine Festival – Yerevan Wine Days, the country’s most significant wine event, celebrated in the first week of May in Yerevan, has been added to the May celebrations.

If you have a relatively flexible schedule, the tour can be organized at any time throughout spring, summer, and fall on an individual basis.

For the May holidays, we also offer a group week-long tour called “Armenia: The Great Beauty.”

May holidays in Armenia
Elena
Friends! A month and a half has already passed since our return, but the impressions of the trip are as vivid as during the travel days. I’ll compare it with the aftertaste of good wine... We spent unforgettable 8 days in May (from May 5 to May 13) in sunny ARMENIA. Thanks to the organizers for the individual transfer from and to the airport. This meeting is very pleasant. Thank you for choosing hotels. And most importantly, THANK YOU for being professionals with a capital “P” - your GUIDES and drivers. We traveled with guide Gor and driver Ashot. Gore showed us his country so vividly that it was simply impossible not to fall in love. He sincerely loves and talks very interestingly about his Armenia, about the very ancient history of Armenia, about people who have experienced a lot. Hospitality and cordiality - this is the only thing we encountered everywhere throughout the trip. Delicious homemade breakfasts, lunches and dinners are always available everywhere, it’s especially nice that it’s just as delicious far from the capital!!! We are pleased, of course, to have excellent knowledge of the Russian language! There are no problems in communication at all. Special thanks for the congratulations on the anniversary (this trip was a gift to me), the surprise was a success and will be remembered forever! And the luxurious May weather and the most beautiful nature of Armenia made our trip an unforgettable journey!!! I recommend everyone to enjoy the beauty of this small mountainous and sunny country!!!!

With love for Armenia!
Olga Mayorova
We recently returned from Armenia! Back in November, a May tour was planned with a group of 8 people (Nizhny Novgorod). I chose the tour operator carefully and am very glad that I was not mistaken! I have not found a more thoughtful and rich program from anyone, only from Barev Armenia Tour. From communicating with Arshavir Ghukasyan about organizing a group tour, I had only positive impressions, everything was clear and timely! Next, meeting at the Airport and our guide Roland Tmoyan, as we wanted. After reading the reviews, it seemed to us that we already knew each other in absentia! And indeed, we consider ourselves incredibly lucky. A good guide is 95% of success on a tourist trip! And our guide is the best! Roland is a cheerful, charming, caring and attentive person, but at the same time a very educated, talented professional guide, historian and with great love for Armenia! Which of course he infected us too! He talked so much about his country, it seemed that he wanted to pass on all his knowledge and impressions to us, the Russian group! Of course, national names were hard for us... but Roland’s patience and work bore fruit! We also fell in love with Armenia, with the beauty of its open spaces, learned its sad history, became familiar with the culture of the Armenian people, and felt the friendliness of the people! We heard the wonderful music of the people of Armenia and fell in love with the beautiful melodies of the duduk! We danced folk dances, laughed at Roland's jokes and unusual funny stories! Thank you for the wonderful mood! Thank you very much, Roland, it seemed to us that everything was the best for us! Thank you, Barev Armenia, for the excellent organization of the tour, for lunches and dinners with unique national dishes, comfortable buses. Thanks to our ace driver Arkady Sakanyan for the careful driving! I really want to return to Armenia, and have Roland Tmoyan as our guide again!
