Day 1

Airport - Yerevan tour

Arrival in Yerevan. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel. After a short rest,we’ll take a tour to Yerevan and visit the National History Museum of Armenia. Lunch at “Salon Du Vin” restaurant. Visiting of Yerevan Brandy-Wine Factory “Noy”, where after the tour, we will taste “Noy” wines and brandies. Afterwards we will take a walking tour in Yerevan, and visit Cafesjian Center for the Arts at Cascade complex – both indoor and outdoor expositions. Saryan Park. Dinner at Armenian cuisine restaurant with Armenian dances, where we will also taste red wine with Armenian national dish “khashlama”. Walking tour to Republic Square, where we will watch “Singing Fountains” show.
Day 2

Wine tour in Yerevan and its environs

Not so far from Yerevan, in an underground tasting room of “Maran” wine-factory we are going to taste seven types of wines of the company. Four types of grape-wine: white dry “Bagratini”, red dry “Noravank”, red semisweet “Areni Eghegnadzor”, semi-sweet dessert, red or rose wine “Avagini”. The company also produces fruit wines, from which we will taste its pomegranate semi-sweet “Parajanov” and apricot semi-sweet “Tsiran Marani”. Then we will visit Zvartnots temple, which not only considered as one of the masterpieces of Early Medieval Armenian architecture, but also included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Lunch at apricot garden of “Van” restaurant in Echmiadzin. We will also taste Armenian traditional barbeque – “khorovats”. Visiting of treasury-museum of Holy Echmiadzin, where numerous valuable items related to the history of the Armenian Apostolic Church are exposed, including sacred relics. Visiting the Wine-Brandy factory “Map” near Lenugi village. In gardens of the company with total area of 140 hectares different berries and fruits are grown and numerous alcoholic beverages are produced. Tour in the company's vast cellar and wine tasting. Return to Yerevan. *Free evening.
Day 3

Yerevan – Wine tour to Vayots Dzor Province

Departure from the hotel with luggage and journey to the Southern wine-making region of Armenia – Vayots Dzor Province. First stop at Khor Virap monastery, which offers an incredible view of the Biblical Mount Ararat. Here we will remind the Noah's legend, according to which Noah, after completing the mission of saving all the livings, planted grapes and made wine. Next stop is near Bird (Trchuneri) cave, where archaeologists recently had found the oldest shoe in the world and 6000 years old winery. Despite the continuing archeological excavations, we will have a chance to personally see, what’s going on inside this mysterious cave. Visiting of Monastery complex Noravank of XIII-XIV century, surrounded with mystical red cliffs. Right here, in winemaking region Areni the famous red wine Areni is produced – from local grapes of the same name. Be sure, that we won’t miss a chance to taste it at one of the local wineries or at the house of local winemaker. Dinner at “Lchak” restaurant. Visiting the legendary “Zorah Karas” winery in Rind village. By the way, Zorah Karasi Areni Noir wine was included in top-10 of the best wines according to the prestigious magazine Bloomberg Businessweek. Bloomberg allocated this wine from other 4000 wines for its unique aroma and delicate flavor. Dinner and night-stand at family winery and guest house “Old Bridge”.
Day 4

Journey to the Northern wine-making regions

Early in the morning we will drive out from Areni. On our way we will make a stop at Selim (Vardenyats) Caravanserai, which served as an important trading point on the Silk Road for a quite long time. Visiting Noratus – the biggest khachkar cemetery on the territory of modern Armenia. Lunch at seaside restaurant “Tsovatsots”, where we will taste a dish of Sevan sig (whitefish) and famous crayfish kebab, combining it with local beer. Sevan lake tour, which is the biggest lake of Caucasus. On the North-East of Sevan we will also visit monastery complex Sevanavank. Rest and dinner at beautiful guesthouse “Tsakhkunk”, where the chef will give a master class in cooking lamb in tandoor (for 10+ groups). Journey to Dilijan and accommodation at beautiful guest house “Toon Armeni”.
Day 5

Dilijan - Haghpat - Arrive in Tbilisi, city tour and welcome dinner

Arrive at Tbilisi, upon arrival you will be met by our team and transferred to your central hotel in Tbilisi - colorful and charming capital of Georgia. After few hours of rest we will meet each other for Introduction city tour. Visit the old town and major historic sights such as Metekhi church, Bath house district, Narikala castle etc. Walk in the narrow streets of the town to explore local architecture and soak up in the spirit of the town and its people. Introduction of natural wines at wine Bar Vino Underground. In the evening enjoy welcome dinner which will be held at a special place- “Azarphesha” wine restaurant. We will enjoy delicious meal cooked in fusion style enriched with exclusive natural wines from different regions of Georgia. Enjoy polyphony singing during the dinner. Overnight in hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 6

Tbilisi- Kartli region- Tbilisi

In the morning enjoy breakfast. Drive towards central part of Georgia-Kartli region. First stop will be Uplistsikhe, an ancient cave town dating from the first half of the 1st millennium BC. The famous “Fortress of God” is first mentioned in the chronicles of the 1st century A.D. Carved into the rocky plateau you find huge echoing halls, long meandering corridor-streets, chambers for pagan worship, water supply system, secret tunnel, market and the remains of Georgia’s oldest theatre, complete with auditorium, stage and orchestra pit. Lunch will be hosted at a small family winery in Chardakhi Village of vigneron Iago Bitarishvili. The tour around the cellar will be followed by tasting of “Chinuri” wine and delicious lunch cooked by the family. Visit Chateau Mukhrani winery for an enjoy wine tasting at this charming place. Later continue trip towards Mtskheta- ancient capital of Kartli Kingdom. The town has been settled for over 2,600 years. We will visit lovely monastery of Jvari from 6th-7th c.c. located at a top of the cliff overlooking the city of Mtskheta, granting a view of rivers converging in a mountain valley. The last sight of the day will be Svetitskhoveli Cathedral- beautiful temple from 11th c. is a good representation of early renaissance architecture. Return to Tbilisi, upon arrival visit Vino Underground natural wine bar for tasting. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 7

Tbilisi- Kakheti

After breakfast drive to Kakheti region- East Georgia. Besides its rich historical heritage Kakheti is famous to be one of the leading wine regions in the country. Visit wine maker Niki Antadze at village Marani. In the noon arrive at a small but charming town Sighnaghi. This little 18th c. settlement is located on the top of the hill overlooking beautiful views of Alazani Valley and Great Caucasus mountains. Lunch will be hosted at a special place “Pheasant’s Tears” wine restaurant, we will tour around the cellar, picture gallery and carpet studio. Delicious, seasonal meal awaits us at this lovely place cooked by local chef Gia Rokashvili, along the meal enjoy wine tasting of “Pheasant’s Tears Wines”. After lunch enjoy short stroll in the twisty streets of Sighnaghi to explore local architecture. Later continue the trip towards central parts of Kakheti. Along the road visit the family cellar of Gulashvili Brothers, we will tour around the cellar and enjoy tasting. In the evening arrive at Chateau Eniseli, enjoy wine tasting and dinner. Overnight at a local hotel
Day 8

Kakheti- Tbilisi

In the morning walk in the streets of Telavi, the largest town in Kakheti province, visit farmers’ market, later continue onto Alaverdi monastery, beautiful 11th century temple where ancient traditions of monastic life is kept. Continue the trip towards Kisiskhevi village, visit small winery “Schuchmann” we will tour around chateau and enjoy wine tasting. Visit Teleda- family cellar of Gogi and Temo Dakishvili. They successfully continue ancestors traditions of wine making using only Georgian Qvevri. Lunch will be served at a charming café Marleta, where we will enjoy delicious home made meal enriched with seasonal dishes, cooked by our hostess. Drive back to Tbilisi, upon arrival check in the hotel for some rest. In the evening meet for farewell dinner held in charming atmosphere will be served delicious seasonal meal accompanied with traditional polyphony singing at a charming restaurant G.Vino. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 9

Departure

After breakfast drive to Tbilisi International Airport for final departure.
